BSc Geology, MSc Engineering Geology
Ishwor Dahal is a dedicated engineering geologist and geotech with experience in geological and geotechnical investigations, tunnel face mapping, and construction supervision for major infrastructure projects. He holds a masters degree in engineering geology and has developed a strong foundation in engineering geology, rock mechanics and geological/geotechnical site investigation works.
He has worked on major infrastructure projects; including road tunnel, hydropower and transmission related site investigation, groundwater assessment and slope stability studies in the challenging Himalaya. He is skilled in surface and underground exposed rockmass mapping and classification (RQD, RMR, Q-value), core drilling supervision and logging, in-situ testing, pit sampling, laboratory test evaluations across different project components.
Ishwor is also proficient in daily monitoring of ground settlement, groundwater discharge, and tunnel convergence using advanced instrumentation, including real-time groundwater monitoring sensors (OYO, Japan).
Now based in Australia, Ishwor continues to broaden his geological and geotechnical practices alongside his international perspective and a commitment to geoscience excellence.
