What sparked your interest in this field?
I enjoyed accounting at school, and thought it would be good to get into. I studied Commerce at University of Queensland. Looking back, I was grateful to get a job as a graduate accountant in the mining industry, rather than in the big-4 accounting firms that I was looking to be employed by.
What is a quote that has stuck with you?
Learn a practical skill, don’t be someone who’s stuck in an office all day. Do something with your hands.
What advice would you give to someone aspiring to be in the same field?

Who in your team would you like to give a shout-out to?
Karen. She works very hard, and takes on all sorts of things that have extended beyond her accounts role.
