Jeonghan (“Kim”) has more than 5 years of experience in core logging and geological work. Kim has worked as; a sample prepper, in exploration and mining roles as a field assistant, geologist, core logger and Geotechnical Engineer. He graduated from WASM with a Master of Mining Engineering in 2024, after completing a Bachelor of Science in Geology in 2016 in South Korea.
Kim is embarking on a journey with MineGeoTech. Having undertaken geological/geotechnical core logging and project work including utilising 3D software for sectional views, QAQC in the sampling process and data entry into the client drill hole database system, he has recently undertaken underground and open pit geotechnical training at Thunderbox operation.
Technical capabilities include:
- Open Pit Wall face mapping and target monitoring
- Underground mapping and geotechnical inspections (Ground support QAQC, Rock mass characterization, discrete structure mapping)
- Geotechnical core logging to meet industry standards
- Accurate QAQC for precise core orientation and markup
- Selection and packaging of core samples for rock property testing
- Daily report of logging progress
- Selection of samples for Geotechnical testing (UCS, UTS, Triaxial and Stress Measurements)
- Geotechnical monitoring according to site systems and processes
