BSc (Geology)
Juliana graduated from the Universidad Nacional de La Pampa, Argentina in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Geology.
Juliana has 5 years’ industry experience in Argentina and Peru with Glencore, Anglo Ashanti and Challenger Gold in hard rock open cut mines undertaking slope management and monitoring programmes.
Juliana is joining MGT as an Engineering Geologist based in WA where she wishes to establish a long term future.
Technical capabilities include:
- Conducting geotechnical inspections of open pit development and designing remedial plans.
- Geotechnical slope modelling and analysis in open pit mines.
- Assessments of ground conditions and rock mass characteristics.
- Data collection of geotechnical and geological information.
- Slope stability monitoring systems including Geomos, Reutech and Esprit radars.
- Monitoring geotechnical instrumentation, including electronic extensometers, inclinometers, Casagrande and vibrating wire piezometers and crackmeters.
Software skills include using Rocscience suite, Geosmart, Geomos Analyzer, SSR Viewer, InclyAnalysis, MineSight, Datamine, AutoCAD Civil 3D, GEM4D, Sirovision and Trimble Business Center.
